Hi, I'm Phil the bass player with Must Ash I'm the second oldest (or 3rd youngest ) in the band.

I love this gig even when it's scary at times,compared to the days of working mens clubs and chicken in the basket cabaret it is so friendly and absorbing.I have many musical influences from J.S.Bach to Britpop(listen to Graham Coxon --please!).My ultimate bass hero is Jeff Berlin,especially with Bill Bruford and Alan Houldsworth.Richard Thomson,Fairport and beyond is probably my fave guitarist and songwriter.

I live with my very supportive partner Nancy(who loves the whole music scene) and Polly the terrier/poodle/jack russel bundle of cuddles!

Gear wise it's a SWR750 amp head,a recently acquired Warwick 6x10,spare Hartke and Ampeg 4x10s.Basses Fender Jazz and Precision.Recent addition a Lakland bass same make as Bob Skeat
